More like Rustang.... am I right? ... ha... ha... guys? Ok... Its a freaking awesome car. I might love the cars that ran along side it more but... An awesome car is still an awesome car. Grate pic. Car guys rock.
About 90% of the movie is a chase scene I know it was a '71 done up to look like a '73, but I don't remember anything about a roll cage. Toby Halicki wasn't known for big budgets, I can't imagine they spent much more than 50k on the entire movie Denyse Halicki may have spent 40-50k restoring the car though.
If you haven't seen the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" I highly recommend it. What that poor Mustang goes through is just unbelievable, and they didn't have CGI back then. And to top it off, Halicki's wife still drives the car today at car shows. I think it's been restored now, but for a long time she was driving it as it came out of the movie. If you wonder how tough a Mustang is, see this movie
If you haven't seen the original "Gone in 60 Seconds," try to find it, it will be worth it. It doesn't have the slick (and impossible!) CGI stunts the remake does, but on the other hand all the stunts are real and the driving is pretty incredible at times.
