This is actually a tattoo design I've been thinking about doing for a while now. Yeah, I want more tattoos And I really want this one as well, but I've no idea where I would place it. If I decide on getting it done, I was thinking of placing it on my right shoulder, but then I'm not sure how the sleeve I plan on getting on that arm would look. I want my sleeves to be themed, you know? But since I already have Noah's paw print on my right wrist, then maybe my right arm sleeve could be animal-/ pet-themed?
About this tattoo though:
"sessan" is Swedish, and means princess. But the whole idea for this came from watching Cartoon Network one day: me and my boyfriend aren't too fond of the Norwegian dubs, so we've switched the language to English on that channel, but since it's the scandinavian version of CN that means the commercials will be in, like, Finnish, Swedish, Danish and sometimes Norwegian. So, anyhow.. We saw a commercial about Adventure Time where the Ice King sings a song about all the princesses he likes. That commercial was in Swedish, and he kept adding "-sessan" to everything, like "Jordgubbsessan" (Strawberryprincess) and others.. I don't remember them all, but I thought it was adorable to call them "sessan" instead of "prinsessan"..! And - here's the thing - our French Bulldog is named after Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time, so it was only natural to give our Marcie the nickname "Bulldog-sessan"! It was either that or "Marceline the Bulldog Queen", but "Bulldog-sessan" is way cuter <3
The princess crown on Marcie is just hanging around her ear to show that, yes, she's sort of a princess, the princess of the house, you know? But at the same time she's a really tough little girl, so I'm guessing if she could talk, and we'd asked her about the whole princess thing, she'd go: "Princess?? No way, I'm too cool to be some sort of pampered little princess...!" At the same time as she likes being treated like royalty now and then and, well, she's our little princess
So that's why I didn't draw her with the crown on top of her head, and why the background is sky blue and not pink (the sky blue symbolizes how she loves being outside in the lovely nature we have here ), and stuff... there's quite some symbolism in this, because I'm a sucker for symbolism... x3
I'll stop babbling now... but I wanted to show this to you guys. I hope you like it

I just had nightmarish flash-backs to "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" until I realized a second later it was a bulldog.
Nice work ^^

Wow.. looks so realistic! And cool design

this is adorable! i would definitely get this tattoo XD
You just don't stop surprising with those exellently done realistic pictures! So freaking real-like it's just as the dog is alive and ready to jump out of the monitor screen c:
I would love to have shirt like that.
I like it when people incorporate symbolism. It gives deeper meaning.
Bulldogs are real proud lil monsters, so yeah, she is definitely a badass princess!
I completely understand. Our dogs are princesses too! (And very spoiled princesses, at that!) XD
She seems like a pretty cool dog!
D'awww she's cute and it would look good on one of your shoulders.
Cute, it's so real it looks like a photograph.
On your back between your shoulder-blades, maybe?
Ive seen that style look amazing as a foot tattoo
Marcie is so cute! I think a pet themed sleeve would look awesome and it would show how much you love your pets!
It's amazing (:
I think you should draw a picture laying out the way you want your sleeve-tattoos to look first. Add any tattoos that you already have or plan on getting to the sketch. Then decide where you think this one should go.
As for myself, I think this would look great on a tee shirt. Or maybe I'm just too chicken to get tattoos. XD
That's a great idea
I LOVE THE TATTOO !!! i want it but i can't !!
