Ray and Mercedes, talking about Ray's anxiety problem.
Poor guy struggles with anxiety due to things that happened in his childhood, and is terrified of being alone or being abandoned.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
when Spike starts dating Mercedes' roommate, Lillith, Ray is afraid that he'll lose Spike as a friend since Spike is spending more time with Lillith.
All this worrying causes him to have many anxiety attacks when he's left alone. He decides to talk to Mercedes (who he feels is sort of like a big sister to him) and get some advice on what to do.

so that's briefly what this drawing is about. I could tell more, to let it make more sense and have a lot more depth to it, but I'd just spoil things.... :c
it'll make more sense when the novel is done :)

God this drawing is pretty. How I relate to Ray. For one thing, I LOVE Lions. My favorite cat and my fursona is a lion as well. And I too suffer from anxiety. Dont worry big guy, youre not alone. Just keep your head high.

I love these scene drawings, and it's so sad to see Ray so unhappy :( The hurt in his eyes is so intense. Feel bad for Ray and his anxiety, but I love seeing this other side to him :D Great picture!

I can relate to the anxiety situation. Even something as simple as going to the store will set me off. Driving already makes me nervous, then you have to deal with other people being in the isle you need to be in. Then there's dealing with the cashier...it sucks needing to feel like you need to RUN AWAY all the time. I sweat and fidget and everything. Only had one panic attack, so its not too severe, but it still feels awful.
