this is me being brave... by oomizuao this is me being brave... by oomizuao
...because that right there is my body type.

Or, at least what I think my body looks like (minus the tail and anthro features) if I'm being a little more honest towards myself and not exaggerating it to look even more horrid than it is.
Because I'm not very content with my body. I've always been terribly ashamed of my belly, for instance. And I totally lack the self discipline to do anything about it; I've tried, but so far not much has worked because I give up too fast. :B

But I find it a little sad how I feel the need to be skinny to be able to feel good about myself...
I blame the media :XD: lol
but anyways, in a stupid way I guess I posted this to hear what you guys think? Of this, and of curvy ladies? ^^;

I think beauty is more about who a person is than what their body looks like -- when you care about someone they are just beautiful to you, no questions asked. :D You can love yourself even if you're not completely comfortable with your weight. I think you look fine, I wouldn't think there is anything really bad about your size. It's not like you're morbidly obese to the point that it'll hurt you. If you want to lose weight, I applaud you and want to cheer you on! Be the best you that you can be! But don't hate yourself for being a bit heavier than you'd like. Someone I care about very much has put on 40-50 lbs in the past three years, and I can still say I think he looks more attractive than anyone else in the world to me. I wouldn't care if he never lost the weight, and if he does get skinny again, that's great! In the end it's him that matters to me. Not the size of his waistline. If anyone measures your worth by your girth, you can show them your middle finger. ;)
Nitrofluff Featured By Owner Jul 28, 2015  Hobbyist General Artist
As long as your medically healthy your fine, honestly attractiveness is only about 10% appearance.
KahootMoot Featured By Owner Edited Jul 24, 2015  Professional Digital Artist
When people conform the shape of a female to be thin and such, it's just stupid.  "Would you rather date a toothpick, or a girl?"  It's my common question to the people out there that commercialize impossible physiques.  You look fine, and anybody who would be appalled has something wrong with THEM.  After all, it's THEIR opinion, right?

Be brave.

listen im not the person to ask but, just keep true to your self and any one who thinks less of you for it well they can go screw them selves.
som1one Featured By Owner May 10, 2015  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I think it's much more desireable to draw such nice Sketches, than to correspond to any Clichees that women have to be thin. The main thing is that don't give up your talent too fast ;) Beeing thin is nothing special, beeing an artist in my view very well :D

I think this is more adorable than the way you usually draw your fursona. You should keep drawing her like this. :)

I would not have guessed from the picture you were so uncomfortable with your body!  I'm a believer that everyone has their own beauty, and for that matter, I was busy admiring the pose and slight sass and the awesome shape of the figure you drew XD I don't care if someone is chunky or slim, long as their healthy!  My mom is naturally a larger woman, so are many of the people in my family.  I'm naturally on the skinner side, but with a slighty stocky build because of muscle.

Don't be afraid of who you are; you were very brave to post this, and I applaude you for it :'D

I think this looks great! I know how it feels to be self-conscious about my body. I'm really skinny and I often wish I was... thicker? especially with people putting down skinny girls all the time

But don't worry, some curves never hurt anyone. They look nice :D
I know this sounds cliche, but any body type can be beautiful. The important thing is to be healthy and be happy about your body!

If that's what your body looks like then you have nothing to worry about because that's a healthy body type. Your curvy in all the right places. You should feel good about yourself because your super attractive. To me your perfect with that type of body type. What I honestly think is that your sexy. ^^;
Ina-Haru Featured By Owner Jun 2, 2013  Hobbyist Digital Artist
As a woman I've always been envious of other women with that body type.

I'm skinny(i have a petite frame to begin with) and almost always at least 10 pounds underweight. Always have been, and nothing I do helps me to put on weight, which I really need to do. Doesn't help that I have a godspeed metabolism and move nonstop when I'm at work.
TheGr8Whoopdini Featured By Owner May 31, 2013  Hobbyist Artist
Also, I adore that expression. I keep coming back to look at it.
TheGr8Whoopdini Featured By Owner May 31, 2013  Hobbyist Artist
Lemme lay it out fo yaz, as a bro and from the perspectivications of a bro: The body presented hence would be the envy of many other fine ladies, and coveted by many a male, mineself included. I cannot stress how much any guy worth the attention would value personality, anyway. Besides; body fat in the clinical sense is natural and necessary, and a few extra pounds of it is actually healthy. Never know when you may fall on hard times or whatever.

But, yeah, I'd totally be checking this girl out as she walked by on the street. Physically, she'd be considered perfect by anyone, including, hopefully, herself.
mongognom Featured By Owner May 31, 2013
You don't have anything to be ashamed of. You look like a model, actually. A pretty model who's not photoshopped yet. A lot of girls are struggling to look like this.
DangerInWonderland Featured By Owner May 26, 2013
I'm a girl, but I'm bi, so do I count?
I love curvy women. Not obese, mind you, but curvy. Let's just say I don't want to date a girl I can break.
This isnt a bad body type. It's normal, and beautiful.
chipdouglas899 Featured By Owner May 26, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
Sorry to be so blunt but if you have a healthy bmi there is no reason to be bitching and moaning about weight. I am sick and tired of pretty girls with low self esteems complaining about being 15 pounds above their desired weight. Quit your complaining, if this is what you truly look like than I say you are pretty sexy.
Caro-Kitsu Featured By Owner May 23, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist

I really think that you'd look gorgeous if this is your bodytype, and I'm not kidding. But maybe that's just me and something about curvy ladies. Anyways, let me go right to the stuff (and I hope that you won't become disgusted or anything):
I just really like the feeling that you something to grab, like literal roughly said: A fuck grip. I really like that about girls. :eager:

I also like that there's just "alittle to some fat", so you don't just look like skin and bones. That can creep me off sometimes.
Also, perfect girls that has a bodytype like a model can just seem "too perfect", and that would make me feel uncomfortable like "wow, look at her. I'm not perfect, I could be better, and I could be socializing better, etc, ...!&#/")(%". :cries:

There, I feel much more on level with girls with bodytypes like this. :)

Now I know that the body doesn't say anything about their personality at all, but I bet it can lead you alittle.

I wouldn't have noticed that she looks any different to what people think is conventional if you hadn't pointed it out ^w^ She looks cute and genuine, much better than any stick-thin character.
JayElleBee Featured By Owner May 12, 2013  Hobbyist Digital Artist
This is actually my prefered body type. I often actively give my female characters squishy bits. They seem nicer to touch.
ModerneVampiressa Featured By Owner May 12, 2013
First off, dear, everyone has a 'tummy.' EVERYONE. Some people are just much better at hiding it. The only people who 'don't' are women so thin they either no longer have their periods due to their BMI dropping too low, or they are 'ectomorph-type' bodies.

You are perfectly normal and beautiful just the way you are. If this is really close to your actual body type, it looks like me when I was in highschool. Rock your hips, dear, they come in handy later!
LadyElsweyr Featured By Owner May 10, 2013
You're pretty! My body type is a lot like this too. Most woman/girls/teens are curvy like this.
I think that it is just fiiiine :) Everyone should be as he/she is. No need to work out, loose weight or pretend not to be yourself. Girls are usually actually for boys attractive by their behavior mainly. Maybe yes, well some really extreme super fat girls arent that cute or nice but if you look like this I personally think that this is the best way you can look :) dont feel ashamed of yourself. I for example like girls for what they are, how do I fell when I am with them, if they are themselves and not just person hiding behind some makeup and different crap :) Just be yourself if someone (probbabely your BF mainly and also friends) really likes you, they will stay with you and dont care about how you look :) personally I would be happy to meet person like you, because from everything i think about you, you must be really good person and frieńd :) just doooont worry & beee happy :D
(maybe i made some mistakes sorry just 1:17 friday xD)

That thar is some terrible (and familiar) posture.... Shaped very much like me... i think..

Personally, i find that i don't like my shape... The shape of my tummy especially, and the thickness of my thighs, especially when i sit down... But what i've never quite gotten is why everyone thinks i'm 'skinny'... Which is more annoying than flattering to me, you know??
TheGr8Whoopdini Featured By Owner May 31, 2013  Hobbyist Artist
Thighs are good. Short of, like, medical obesity, most guys worth the bother couldn't less about thigh thickness or whatever. Pretty is pretty, and niceness plus intelligence are awesome.

Seriously, we menfolk pay about zero attention to that kind of thing.

NovanostheNoble Featured By Owner May 9, 2013
True beauty lies within the integrity and confidence one ascribes to their appearance, not in appearance itself. By posting this, I see a deficiency in neither of these two aspects, and I congratulate you for following yourself.
FaithStarLight Featured By Owner May 9, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I really love this, because you have a great shape, and I'm proud of you for doing this 'cause I know how hard it must have been (since I know you, and I read your description :D). And I know you don't do these things for attention, you're just being true to yourself, but let me tell you as someone who knows quite a bit about women's different body shapes and natural curves (um ... lots of reading and TV lol) you have a great body! Your curves are real, not like when overweight girls claim they have curves (and that's not me being unkind, I mean there are some girls who have curves while being overweight, but there's that and then there are girls who call their excess body fat curves ... yeah, you get me :XD:). Anyway, you have an amazing shape; you're in proportion, nothing's out of place, and at least on this drawing you look happy, so I hope you can find that happiness in real life too :)

Wonderful work, Sis

I'm surprised this hasn't become a meme of "Draw your true self" :P
