unnamed character for my new untitled project

At the school where I teach art, I gave my students an assignment where they're going to try and make their own character. And just to be fair, I thought I'd give myself the same assignment; making a new character.

Yesterday, sort of randomly, I drew an anthro dude with a slightly different and more human-like facial structure than what I usually draw. I also decided to draw with a pen, and no sketch. I kind of liked that "new style" of mine that I'd discovered, so I kept on drawing random characters. I really liked two of the designs, and slowly began picturing their stories in my head.
I've got two characters that I'm going to make into main characters. The story's plot isn't yet figured out, but I want the story to be a sort of Noir type comic, with a hint of superhero-comic-styles, and it's going to be about adult characters. It'll have a rather dark atmosphere, too. That's pretty much how far I've gotten in the planning of this new comic project.

This guy here is the second main character. Sort of the hero's nemesis, I think.
(and yes, I do realize his head is way too big for his shoulders, but I drew this entirely with a pen, no sketch, so I couldn't erase it and I didn't bother starting over again ).

It's kind of fun to finally have a new project going on
I'll definitely finish "SPIKE" before I start seriously working on this project, but I'll be working a little on it nevertheless. It's nice to have various projects to jump between; if I'm slightly bored with one project, I can work a bit on the next one, you know?

So I'm looking forward to see what these two new characters of mine have to tell me, and how their stories will be like
