To help fight boredom while people are on corona lockdown / quarantine, I am streaming on twitch every day! Sometimes art, sometimes Skyrim, sometimes mic chats, sometimes just music and chill beats. Feel free to drop by :) twitch.tv/oomizuao

Reg. Streaming

3 min read

Quick little heads up that future streams will be announced on Patreon. This is because it's less maintenance for me and also I've noticed that not a lot of people use deviantart anymore. You can see my public patreon posts without having to pledge anything, but if you want to and it fits your budget (I both respect and relate to not having the budget to pledge, so don't worry <3 ), pledging one dollar gives you access to absolutely everything I post on patreon. There's no pay wall other than that one dollar, because I'm personally against pay walls, so I set the pledge amount as low as possible. Some streams will be publicly notified, some will be private. Most you can access on twitch anyways though so I suppose you could also just follow me there for notifications XD But I'm thinking of hosting Patreon Only streams later on to keep my comic pages more private while they are works in progress, because of how they have been stolen before by people screenshotting and tracing it, which is like a kick in the metaphorical balls tbh. People supporting me on patreon are literally keeping food on my table, so I appreciate the support immensely. I am sadly in no position to do the same back, but what you get for pledging one dollar is access to years of bonus content and stuff I haven't show or shared on deviantart. You get access to all the old posts and the new ones by being a patron. And it truly helps me out a lot. Due to being busy with the completion of the first volume of the graphic novel, I have had limited time to set aside for websites, and have prioritised Patreon because I feel I owe it to my patrons for being so hugely supportive. I hope you will consider joinging in <3 I do have some future goodies planned to, like the chance to be drawn into the Spike universe as a classmate or a background character for Volume two and onwards ;) But that is gonna have to be a patrons only thing, which I hope you understand. Deviantart is still where it all started and I am forever grateful for that, but ultimately it's about the people and not the websites. I've just chosen to prioritise Patreon for it's multiple benefits, and also because it seems to be where the most eager fans seem to gather and it's so much fun interacting with them and giving something back to make them feel special <3

ok gotta hurry up and stream now lol ttyl <3

Recently jaws_of_ink over at instagram suggested to me that I should "please share my story telling wisdom". Honestly it had never occurred to me that anyone would be interested in me sharing my knowledge on storytelling, so I was immediately intrigued. I'm not good with small talk, but I can gush on end about any topic that fascinates me and storytelling and making stories is a lifelong passion of mine. And I would absolutely love to share some of the things I've learned over these years. Note though that I do not have any formal education lol, I tend to go off and learn shit on my own instead. So I'll just be sharing my personal thoughts on the matter, and it may not be industry standard or anything you know? And as always I encourage people to trust their own gut and think for themselves as well <3 But I think a little storytelling session like this could be fun! I'll be streaming it on Twitch I think, since well... twitch is free lol. And I'm on a perpetual budget. Ironically though, these streams/classes/sessions/whatchamacallits will be free. Or, you know, free ish. By that I mean that I will announce the first one on both deviantart and patreon, but after that first time they will only be announced on patreon. And once I figure out how I will eventually make it a patreon only thing, unfortunately. I know, I know, it sounds very greedy, but honestly, the patreon pledges have become such a crucial part of my income, it is literally what's keeping food on my table. And there are no pledge tiers. One dollar gives you access to everything. And I mean everything. <3 This is because I am personally against the whole money diversity thing. It sucks being left out because you can't afford something, I know that very well. And I do feel bad about charging at all, but the patreon pledges are truly a lifesaver for me at this point, and I've been grilled repeatedly on the whole joker thing that "if you're good at something, never do it for free",

Anyways, I hope you undderstand my shift to patreon, and I hope the lack of a pay gap somewhat makes up f or it <3 And I hope that these interactive classes sound intereesting? :D I've hosted one already on some drawing tips and character stuff etc. Not very structured tbh but I'm learning, and also I kind of prefer winging it. I like when the classes are you guys telling me what you want to learn about and then I just sort of take it from there and tell you what I know, you know? But any pointers in the comments below would help me get into the mindset of it more quickly so feel free to tell me already now what you'd be interested in hearing about :D

Also, storytelling includes everything related to storytelling, in any medium <3 So feel free to ask whatever you want :D

Are you guys as excited as I am? :D (also, in closing: I know I've been seemingly ghosting you guys for well over a year now both on ddeviantaert and on patreon, but my mind is busier than ever with the graphic novel going on and all. Also, I'll announce this more properly later, but the relelase date for SPiKE volume One is February 2020 :D <3 Sothis is why I don't have much oportunity to produce and post art like I used to... I feel like I can only prioritize the graphic novel right now. The deadline is in ddecember, so right around january I should be up and back at it with posting art and stuff, and after february I can finally start posting some excerpts from the graphic novel. Ooh, and one more thing! I mean I have to run this with my publisher first but I see no reason why it shouldn't be ok: two very good friends of mine suggested getting a table at Nordic Fuzz Con next year and selling and signing copies of SPiKE volume one there :D So, yeah, if you're up for a meet and greet, I might just be there :D being all socially anxious and shit lol but still! Come say hi? :D

Awright, that's enough of me babbling lol....

TLDR:

- Interactive live stream story telling classes? I'm doing them anyways, would you like to join?

- Patreon! Sorry and thanks <3

- Y U NO ART?

- SPiKE volume one graphic novel release date

- Nordic Fuzz Con meet and greet?

- You guys are awesome <3
