I've been thinking of doing a contest several times now, and once I almost held one but then I forgot all about it.
The idea of having a contest with a set theme and then some different categories like writing, drawing, sculpting.etc of your OCs seems like an interesting idea.
I'd totally be down for a contest.
Even if i need learn how to sculpt ^u^
Based off of a season. Since it is autumn (at least it is autumn in the USA, don't know what it is in Norway lol) you can have someone draw a picture or base a character off a autumn theme. But... winter is coming up too, along with Christmas.
Based off a song.
Have people create fanart of a certain TV show.
Have people draw your fursona/character in a certain theme.
Have people do a Thanksgiving/Christmas theme.
Just get creative! But I know I would love to join .
I would join
I think that, as most people has said, it could be based on your novel. (or at least, what we've read of it). And, obviously, there could be a place fro sculptors, artists and writers in the contest if it was based on this...
A contest is a great idea. I 'm in.^^
I think a contest about your Storys, and characters is a good idea. Scenes, or alternative Scenes...what can be in the Story...
My favourite Thema are the Spike Novel.
Drawings and Novels both are great, but it is so heavy to decide which one ist better in a direct relation. Sorry, for no help. --'
and about the contest, it should be for fun. Your prize does ante-up the stakes, but don't worry about judging and us taking it harshly. It is a contest after all, and the best should get the prize (:
I'm curious about what you'll do so that all artists can enter..
OH! Perhaps you should do three segments? Y'know? One for writers, sculptors, and drawing/painting/digital artists. But then.. that comes to find a prize for each genre.... so... Hmm...
And you should give ample time for submission, some of us still have school to worry about
Cool, i would love to enter the contest, if i overcome my shyness...
How about a contest of drawing a charecter from Spike or a scene from the novel.
