this movie, omg... "Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki"
watch it. It's amazing, seriously.
(image found on Tumblr: http://evangelizer.tumblr.com/post/43670310560 )
It's about werewolves, yes, but not cheesy, stupid Twilight "werewolves" or whatever... These are my new favorite type of werewolves, and I'll probably never think of werewolves as vicious bad-guys ever again.
This was a beautiful story of a mother and her two children. I loved the story, really did. I even sort of started wanting to have kids on my own as well I mean, Ami and Yuki were so sweet, and funny, and realistic - personality and behavior wise.
And their mother was a fantastic character. I really, really liked how she was portrayed.
I could go on about how much I just loved this movie.. But I'll shut up and just recommend it to you all instead.
Do yourself a favor, and watch this incredible movie
Oh holy wow! :DRemember the wolf tattoo I drew that I wanted to get tattooed on my chest?
Well, I got an appointment with this amazing tattoo artist from Iceland, which is on June 6th. I wanted him to draw my wolf tattoo in his own style, and today he messaged me with a rough sketch of his version. And oh my God, you guys! It looks incredible! I wish I could show you, but I won't because I don't have the right to post someone else's artwork on my page and stuff, plus I want to let you guys wait until I've gotten it tattooed on me But the wings, they looked so realistic and so soft! And the wolf looked so kind and badass at the same time, and the details were just mind blowing! and holy wow, I seriously can't wait till June 6th
I love his version of the tattoo, and I'm very happy he could re-design it for me
He's a super-skilled artist, so I'm truly grateful he has the time to tattoo me. This tattoo is going to be so beautiful, I just know it! I'm gonna wear it so proudly,
To all you aspiring artistsI just felt like giving a little motivational speech, based on some questions and feedback I've gotten from young, aspiring artists.
Some of you say you look at my art and get inspired, and I just love hearing that because that's just what I want; to be able to inspire! It also inspires be back, because I know very well how it's like to work your butt off and not feeling you're getting anywhere. And I can relate when some of you say you actually lose all motivation when you see my work (or others' work, of course), because you feel you could never reach that same "level". I was there too, I've felt just like you guys! I have also had the nagging feeling that my art might not be good enough, but those thoughts are all stupid. Yeah, they are. I'll be rude enough to say that right now.
Art can be very frustrating in your "growth period", if I can call it that. And while being your own worst critic can help you grow, it can also tear you down and destroy everything called 'motivation'. So
Rescue InkI found out about these people through a Tumblr post; They're tough, tattooed bikers who fight against animal abuse and neglect. In other words: they're heroes.
I could say a lot more about them, but I think you should check out their website and see for yourself:
I just made a donation, and I wanted to write this journal to encourage other people to make donations too - if you can, and want to Every single dollar helps
There are plenty of animal rescuers or animal shelters you can donate to, and they need all the help they can get as well. Donate to the shelter or rescuers that you feel you want to support
I personally felt like donating to these people, because I know they're not afraid of taking action against abusers, and they're educating people to be nice to animals as well, AND they're rehabilitating and rescuing animals, so pretty much everything I learned about them made me want to help out and show my support.
I'm thinking of doing some c
Have you tried this?I've been fiddling around with Realtek HD Audio Manager on my computer (it's pretty standard on most Windows computers, I think. At least on Windows 7), and I found it quite fun to go to the "Karaoke" option, and set it to minus four ( -4 ) and then turn on a song with a female singer. It turns the female voice into a rather cool male voice!
Songs like "Untouched" by The Veronicas, for instance, became quite cool with that male voice
It works on pretty much any song with a female singer, so I recommend trying it out, just for fun
names for the new characterRemember this new character that I drew recently?
Without asking, a lot of you came up with loads of neat name suggestions for her, some even suggested background stories for her! And I think that you guys are all just amazing for wanting to help like that
I've decided on using her in my Spike story, and as a matter of fact I'm writing a scene about her right now...! I'll try not to spoil much, but she's one of Spike's classmates, who causes some trouble for Sam. She's not an evil character though, but she's a little... um.... complicated? I really don't want to spoil anything just yet. She's a character you might hate at first, but when you get to know her you'll see that her actions have reasons. That's all I'll say about her right now.
BUT - what I'm writing this journal entry for, is that out of the names you've suggested, I've found a name that I absolutely loved. It was, to me, perfect for her! And it was cool to see that some of you even v
SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. At first I was planning on only writing from Spike's point of view, like, what he's experiencing during this separation period. I figured that since he's the main cha
did you know...Did you know Saunders has his own fan club?
HaloGamesFan and FoxeeLaLa made one for him, which to me was a really cool surprise..! It's very flattering to see my character getting so much love, and even a fan club, so that's really cool
And Saunders himself would probably be very surprised too to know about it ;D I bet he'd be all "what, a FAN CLUB, for ME?? what, why me? I'm not special... am I? Well, it's very nice of them anyways, that's for sure.. *tries to hide that he's blushing* "
here's the link to the fan club, if anyone wants to join

How to interview a politician.A tiny snippet from Jeremy Paxman's interview with Silvio Berlusconi.
Some might not know who Berlusconi is: he's a media tycoon, 3 time Prime Minister of Italy and is generally regarded as the face of political vice and corruption in Europe.
Many won't know who Paxman is: he's the brick that the BBC throw at people like Berlusconi. His questions being so blunt that it's nigh on impossible to wriggle out of answering them without looking more of a prat than you did at the start.
I'm pretty sure that Paxman also hates that fact that you, whoever you are, share the same planet as him:

Thursday, Day 1 of Comic-ConThursday was the first full day of Comic-Con, and artists, cosplayers, and fans (oh, my!) strapped on their most comfortable Con Shoes and continued rocking out in San Diego. It was also the day of deviantART's first panel, "How-To: Motion Books," which was so inspiring, audience members nearly had to be physically removed from the premises because the conversations ended long after they took the microphones away.
Sitting on the panel were spyed and techgnotic from deviantART, BenWolstenholme, LiamSharp, and nunyerbidniss from Madefire, and davegibbons, perhaps best-known for his collaboration with Alan Moore on "Watchmen." The topic was an explanation of the recent partnership of Madefire and deviantART -- who met at Comic-Con j
This is why you (and your art) get ignored.People often get the sense of being ignored in the art-scene, especially here online. We all try so hard to get our foot in the door, it's like trying to stuff yourself in an overfull bus like a sardine in a can.
Sometimes you just want to socialize with other artists you admire and you seem to be talking into a brick wall or perhaps you've send your portfolio to a company over a dozen times and still don't even seem to get the smallest response or feedback. I will try and tell you WHY you get ignored and HOW you can get noticed instead.
I will go through the following cases of being ignored:
Do know, that even though being ignored feels very personal it's hardly ever personal at all!
Your comment(s) gets ignored.
It happens ever so often. You notice an artwork or a discussion and you weigh in with your opinion or admiration, perhaps even some feedback? T

1st Place goes to by :iconDea-Chaos:
Sometimes less is more, that sentence pretty much fits this picture when it comes to colors. I really love how this picture came out, due to the white-gray colors dominating this picture the red parts of Genesis' clothes as well as her eyes are eyecatchers indeed. Due to the glow effect it even looks like these view parts are emitting a certain warmth. I also like the background a lot and I'm impressed by the perspective used.
Thus all together this is a very nice use of a combination of warm and cold colors, and for me worth the 1st place of this contest.
Do you see the black table in the upper left of the picture? It's scary that I have exactly the same table right next to my bed o_O;

Just an idea o3o
Just throwing out an idea, and wondering if you guys think this might sound like something worth doing.
But I've been thinking of doing two things, one is a get what you pay for commission. Like, you give me any amount, (at least $1) and I draw you something. Like, it could be a fun little chibi drawing, or a picture I make in photoshop, or even just an icon or journal doll, or maybe even two pictures. o3o
I think it would be a fun way for me to completely experiment and draw whatever type of picture I please. <: So I would have complete control of what kind of picture I'm making, aside from the character.
My next idea would be for plushies. I was thinking I would charge maybe $25, you give me the character you want, and I make whatever type of plush I like.
Slightly hard to explain this one, ahh. X'D
But you'll pay for the plush having no idea what it will come out like and I make literally whatever I want. It could b
RIP - H.R. GigerKooky Swiss artist and master of f**ked-up imagery, H.R. Giger, has died: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-27390345
His work was brought to prominence, obviously, by the design of the titular Alien in Ridley Scott’s film, but he was also more or less the godfather of “biomechanical” science fiction/horror illustration.
I can’t say I was ever a real fan of his work. Most of it made my flesh crawl. It was art, but it was utterly repulsive.
Why mention his passing, then? Well, love or hate his style, its effect on the science fiction/horror genres is undeniable, and they wouldn’t be the same without him.
Special FeatureI really have to thank one person for doing something really pretty for me.

Expiration DateI love the Team Fortress 2 short movies. They're like little Pixar films......just with violence, blood, dismemberment and a general disregard for health, safety and human life.
Usually they're quite brief, but the latest to surface is a whole 15 minutes. Positively feature-length!
It's making me want to revisit those TF2 "auxiliary units" I designed a couple of years back.

Ah, Now That...that was fun.
Two months and eight days, 64 chapters plus an epilogue, 134 single-spaced typewritten pages, 74478 words and countless hours later, Everlasting Snow has finally come to a close.
And, to tell you the truth, I have no idea where to start.
Let's start just over a couple months ago, with a girl, a laptop, and a movie. One that changed her life. For the better. One that connected with her on such a deep level that no amount of writing or creating could get it out of her system, and never will. One that revived her love of writing, something she hadn't done in years because it never gained any recognition, she never felt it was good enough, and life events just left her feeling so trampled upon, further deterring her from putting the pen to the paper.
And so, never before so inspired and just recently discovering the world of fan fiction, she opened her laptop, brought up Microsoft Word, and began to write, not helping but feeling that a certain winter spirit (th
