novel updates

I've been asked quite some times recently how my novel is going I appreciate it when people ask me that, but since it would take a lot of time to give long replies to all those comments, I'll post some updates in this journal entry instead. ^_^

I've recently written two new chapters of "SPIKE". I'm writing the end part of the novel now, so those chapters are very close to the end of the novel.
There's the opening part, which are the chapters that I've posted here in my gallery, then there's the mid part that I have planned out and worked on, but not actually written any chapters on. And then there's the end part, which starts where the mid part ends and goes all the way to the final chapter. The end part, to me, is the most interesting part, so that's why I'm writing that first I will make the mid part very interesting too, of course, but I just enjoy writing the end part the most.
I don't know if this next thing I'll say is a spoiler or not, since some of you might know already, but I'll write SPOILER ALERT anyways, so you can decide for yourself whether you want to know or not. The Spoilers are as follows:
Spike manages to run away from home, and ends up in the nearby city (which is actually quite far away; a few hours by train). This is where he meets Ray, and Lillith later on.
So the mid part will actually be an interesting part I'm looking forward to write it. I just need to come up with a few more scenes, and I'm ready to write it.

So, yesh. A tiny spoiler there... I would love to just spoil the entire book but it would just ruin the reader experience that day you'll finally get to hold the book in your hands. I know, that sounded very optimistic.. but it's gonna be a book, whether it's through a real publishing company or whether I have to save up money for self-publishing and sell copies of the book myself. I did promise you'll get to read it when it's done, and that's a promise I intend to keep!


In the meanwhile of writing "SPIKE", I'm also working on a graphic novel of my other characters from another story; Cain and Frick. It's for a huge contest that's going on here in Norway. The winner gets 50 000 Norwegian Kroner (which is well over 8000 US dollars)  and will also get their story published! There is also a big chance that they'll publish other stories that were submitted even though they didn't win the money price, so this contest is just... huge..! So I'm going to enter with my "Cain and Frick" story, so I'm working on that one at the same time as I'm working on "SPIKE". Thing is, the "Cain and Frick" story is taking place in a city, so I have to learn perspective and drawing cities in less than a month.. so that'll be a challenge.
The deadline for the contest is in the beginning of august, so I'll have June to prepare the story itself, and July to draw the first few comic pages of it. That's the plan anyhow...

Also, since I didn't get to finish the mural thingy last week, I'll be there the entire next week... So, no livestreaming and probably no deviations from me for a week or so...   I might have time to go on livestream just to chat, but no artsy stuff, sorry... v__v

It also seems I'm being scammed by some online anime merchandise store called animeharu.com, so I'm kinda gutted about that. I've tried contacting them several times, so I'm about to call the police on them, actually. Or, maybe not the police, but just find someone with the authority to help me with these things. I was foolish enough to make a rather big order, and they already have my money, and they're not replying, so this doesn't look good... :C
Just thought I'd write this here to prevent others from shopping there and making the same mistake. I read reviews about them today on Google, and it seems I'm definitely not the only one who's had a bad experience with these guys.
So, before you shop online, no matter where it is, always Google for customer reviews!! ...just a warning
