project updates

some minor updates about the project I mentioned in my previous journal entry...

(in case you didn't read that entry and don't wanna go and find it, I'll sum it up: I'm working on an animated short film about Spike and Sam.)

First: I've thought of a title for the film. It will be called "Imagine".

Secondly: I've just finished the opening scene! I mean, really finished it! with music and opening credits and everything ^u^ so, I'm a little proud now, and extremely motivated to finish the rest of the film!
The only thing I'm a little worried about is the music. I won't tell you what the song is yet, but it's from an actual artist and not from PremiumBeat or any of those places where you can purchase and use music as you wish. So, I'm worried I won't be able to use that particular song, since it's copyright that artist. And I don't think I can just write said person an email, asking "hey, can I use your song in a short film I'm making?".. right?
Or is it enough to just write in the opening- or end-credits that the song belongs to that particular artist?

Thirdly: After Effects is still kind of difficult and complicated to use, but I've found some tutorial videos that were very helpful and taught me the basic things I needed to know. The rest I found out on my own.

and finally: I won't post or show you the opening scene yet. Mainly because I don't have the rights to the song I'm using at the moment, but also because I want it to be a surprise
