Description
no, seriously, I've no idea what to call this one..
On my computer I've called it "Spike with black angel wings" ... lame title much? -.-'
Anyways:
This drawing was first sketched with a light blue pencil (mechanical pencil with light blue Penol leads. I ordered LOTS of blue leads on the internet! 35 cartridges, omfg.. XD ) then I drew the lineart with another mechanical pencil with normal leads (2B). Then I scanned it, and in Photoshop I removed the blue lines, and made the pencil lines look like inked lines - easy as that :3
I love this new technique ^^ and I love my blue leads <3
Drawing is just so much easier now! I don't have to first sketch with a pencil, then do the lineart with a pigment liner pen thingy, then erase the pencil lines and stuff.. -___- it's so troublesome..
But this is way easier!
Just sketch with blue, do the lineart with a pencil and not having to worry about drawing something wrong because you can use the eraser and do that line over again, and then remove the sketch digitally! <3
How to remove the blue lines?
See in photoshop where it says "layers"? Y'know, where the layers are? XD Right next to that, it says "channels" - just close all the color channels except the blue one, and voila! the blue lines are gone :3
The "saving the image without the blue lines" are what I found to be the difficult part though, because when you save the drawing the blue lines return..! D:
So what you do is you copy the entire image when you've removed the blue lines (Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C), open a new, empty photoshop file, and paste (Ctrl+V) the image into that new file..!
To make the pencil lines darker, you now add a new layer, use the bucket tool to color the whole layer black, and then set the layer- ...whatchamacallit... the bar where it says "normal"! XD then change it into "overlay" (or just try out all the options and find one you like :3 ) and the pencil lines will get darker ^^
so, yeah, that was a short tutorial..
I could tell you how to color without ruining the lineart, but I'm a little too tired for that right now... XD
meh...
